Filgaia, under the protection of the Guardians, used to be a world covered in rich, green and fertile earth. However, as a result of a surprise invasion by the Metal Demons who possess bodies of steel, the Guardians lost their power. Plans began to disappear one by one and most of the grasslands were transformed to wastelands.

Now, after one thousand years, though different from the former Filgaia, people began to build a new civilisation on the wastelands. But the world was again about to be covered by ominous dark clouds. The legendary Metal Demons had come back to life and were biding heir time, waiting to seize Filgaia.

Here come three youths, destined to carry the future of the world on their shoulders. They are about to embark on a journey, unaware of one another's existence or their own fate...

In the world transformed to wastelands, the wheel of fortune is about to turn.
